Culture and tradition in Alta Badia

What if the weather is bad?

What can be better than dedicating a rainy day to the rich local culture? The thousands of years old heritage of the Ladins, the oldest inhabitants of this area, can be traced back in the Museum Ladin inside the historic castle Thor in San Martino. The museum’s geological section in San Cassiano explains in a pleasant way the origin of the Dolomites and the life of the cave bear, that lived in these mountains up to ten thousand years ago. Not to forget the magnificent baroque church of the village of Badia, the third most beautiful in South Tyrol.
